Se inician trabajos de restauración de impresionante mural Wiesse de la Vía Expresa en Miraflores

Se reiniciaron los trabajos de restauración del emblemático mural del artista Ricardo Wiesse, ubicado en el tramo comprendido entre los puentes Alfredo Benavides y Ricardo Palma de la Vía Expresa del Paseo de la República, calificado por el propio autor como un “remanso de armonía”.

Con un área de 10 mil metros cuadrados, el impresionante mural tiene 31 años de antigüedad; fue inaugurado en 1990. Es una muestra de signos zigzagueantes dispuestos en composición de ritmos que acompañan la sensación de velocidad que sienten los conductores que transitan por la más importante vía de Lima Metropolitana.

La gama cromática del mural cambia para diferenciar las zonas del recorrido, así como los signos se disponen para señalizar algunas salidas de la vía.

Marrón, ocre, crema, blanco, celeste, azul y rojo son los colores de los retazos de mayólica que fueron pegados con cemento, los cuales se fueron despegando paulatinamente con el tiempo, dejando grandes zonas incompletas.
